The gift that keeps on giving

I bought my first pair of glerups on vacation with my children, they became my everyday house shoes. When they finally wore out, my children noticed and bought me a new pair for Christmas. glerups are part of our family story.

I'm a journalist in Portland, Oregon writing about outdoor adventure and gear. I received my Glerups as a gift from the brand during a trip to Denmark in 2023, where I met Nanny and the team. I got a tour of the office and even got to meet the sheep supplying wool for the shoes. Such a special memory.

Min man har använt glerups ulltoffla i många år och jag brukade låna hans 44 or så fort jag fick chansen. Väl stora på mina fötter, men så sköna! Fick chansen att prova ett par med gummisula i min storlek och jag älskar dom! Tofflorna finns med vart jag än åker och används även utomhus, helt underbara. Nu har jag både tofflor med gummisula och lädersula hemma💕

Hele familien elsker deres glerups, og de er altid det første vi hopper i om morgen, efter en lang dag, selv på ferietur. Mine drenge sover med dem til tider 😂

Sustainability is important to me and since they are Cradle to Cradle Certified, I knew I could trust their materials and manufacturing to be kind to the sheep that provided the wool, the workers in the factory and the planet. When I read the great review about them in the New York Times Wirecutter column, I knew that they were exactly what I wanted. When I put them on they instantly warmed my feet and were so comfortable. As someone who works-from-home I keep them on all day!

Jeg har kendt glerups i mange år og har både fået og købt flere par gennem tiden. Det er simpelthen de bedste futter! De er dejlig varme i den kolde tid, og jeg elsker, at jeg kan bruge dem med bare fødder. Selvom de er lavet af uld, kradser de slet ikke. Og så er det et stort plus, at de er lavet af naturmateriale frem for kunststoffer, der får fødderne til at koge. Der er altid så mange flotte farver, at det er svært at vælge! Jeg har indtil nu været mest glad for skomodellen, men jeg tror, at jeg skal prøve støvlen næste gang. 😊

De glerups futter, som er fra min onkel er den bedste og mest brugte julegave jeg nogen sinde har fået”. Efter en god lang træning, er futterne det lækreste og eneste rigtige at køre hjem i. Jeg hedder Emil er 17 år og bruger rigtig meget tid på motocross.

I bought a pair of glerups as a treat for myself. They are the first thing on my feet every morning, the wait faithfully by the door when I go out and they always travel with me whenever I stay away anywhere. I'm Scott, I live in the UK, and I made the decision to get a great pair of slippers one cold winter morning (whilst working from home wearing several pairs of socks). I researched for a long time as never like spending money on things unless I'm sure of them. They have been such a joy to wear - both warm and cool, depending on the weather. I am terrible at going outside in my socks and ruining them - so having a durable rubber sole on my glerups is such a great feature. My mum, who is very unwell at the moment, mentioned how nice they looked so I bought her a pair as well. They are currently sitting next to her bed at the hospital. Life is too short to stress about which slippers to get, let me save you some time and endorse these wholeheartedly!

I’m Maiken, a Dane living in Brooklyn NY, where I’m a creative director – and my glerups keep me company in both endeavours. They’ve been part of my life since childhood in Scandinavia, and to me, they’re hygge: familiar, uncomplicated comfort that makes wherever I am feel a little more like home.
